The Mountain

A description of a larger than life man who is searching for love

The mountain is a man who reached great heights;
He is built of the earth that pierces sky.
Though he is slow to rise, he produces fights
for those mountaineers on their ways to die.

The mountain is cold and covered with ice.
He knows that death is a human despair.
He cannot die; this is his one true vice.
Loneliness becomes his lingering fare.

He stands tall but longs for more vibrant greens.
He wants greens brighter than the dead’s parka.
Wanting atmospheric blue, he yet gleans.
The blue should be as a frost bit orca.

Crushing tension avalanches his heart.
The mountain begins to crumble apart.
